It’s been a month since my sister-in-law lost her job and was left homeless, and the family still has to pay $1.5 million to cover medical bills.
But when my husband, son and I visited our local Health Department, they were shocked to learn that there is no such thing as medical insurance.
Our policy, the one my husband had been able to afford for about a year, is no longer valid.
I don’t even have insurance through our job, let alone a job in any industry.
My husband and I have been struggling to keep up with our medical bills, but we are still left with no choice but to continue to work to pay the bills.
When we first started looking for work about a month ago, we were able to find a position that would cover the cost of the medical insurance policy.
We were even able to get a loan to help us pay the $1 million, but now we have no choice.
I still have no clue how I am going to pay my medical bills or how we are going to live with the extra costs that are piled on top of the ones we already pay.
We are left with nothing to live on.
Aspen Medical Insurance and Medico Insurance, the two companies that provide medical assistance insurance to individuals and businesses in Colorado, have issued an apology.
“Aspen Healthcare is deeply sorry that this situation occurred and that our team members were unable to assist with the care of our customers,” said Aspen Healthcare President Mark W. Boulton.
“We know that our policies are among the best in the industry, and we have worked hard to ensure that our employees and our customers receive the best possible medical care.
As a result, we have made a significant adjustment to our policies, including the discontinuation of coverage for certain health conditions, including cancer.
We appreciate our employees, our customers, and our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to make sure our policies were available to all of our Colorado customers.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
I have a sister- in-law, who lost her health insurance when she lost her home to foreclosure, who has been unable to find work, and has been struggling with chronic illness and mental illness.
I cannot imagine the stress on my family and my husband.
My brother-in, my daughter, and I are in desperate need of medical help.
We have been living on disability and have a child who is now 5.
We’ve been looking for a job for months and have been looking everywhere for a new job.
We finally found a job, but it is only to cover the medical bills that we still have.
My husband and sister-wife are both college students, so they will likely have to keep paying medical bills for another year.
Our youngest daughter, who is 6, is currently in a nursing home, and my oldest son is in the hospital with a heart condition.
Our son-in law has had a stroke and is currently hospitalized.
It is impossible for us to afford to pay this kind of medical bills anymore, and it is costing our family dearly.
When we learned about the cancellation of coverage, I cried a little.
I am just so disappointed that we cannot afford to be on disability.
I feel so terrible for my husband and his sister- in-laws.
I hope that we can get a job soon, but I am really worried about my daughter and son- in law.
